If you’re like me (and most), these past four months have been harrowing. I’ve made it through by connecting with others, writing, venting, and reading. That includes history and books on Israel and Palestine.

One silver lining of all this since October 7, 2023, is the people I’ve met, the community it’s created, and the pride we all feel. People feel more connected to fellow Jews and to Judaism than ever before in the face of historic antisemitism, violence, and a war that is at once devastating and horrific, and also filled with propaganda and ahistorical revisionism.
