I Stand with Israel. Am Israel Chai.

Why is that so hard to say? Why can’t we stand together now, more than ever?

I am so saddened and sickened right now, for 2 straight days. There are two waves of shock and grief; one at the horrible news and images coming out of Israel, and the other on my screen — including from people I know and organizations I once admired.

Seeing both leftist orgs (some even Jews) and right-wing anti-Israel activists unite in defending the rape, murder, torture, and kidnapping of unarmed civilians: We see you. This is not resistance, it’s not decolonization, it’s terror and attempted genocide. It only harms Palestine and peace. It’s a war that can’t be won, and it’s a proxy war between Iran and the west.

Am Israel Chai. May those lost be remembered.
